I heard from a dealer just last week saying he cant locate the truck I want but I can still build an 09. I thought the build was up on 09 models like amonth or two ago. Anyone know for sure?

I do not think that they are still building the '09's as the '10's should be rolling out fairly soon. I find it hard to believe that a dealer cannot find what you are looking for. Sounds like he wants you to buy one off his lot. Check around the internet and see if you can find what you are looking for. Worst case is buy from another dealer and have them do a dealer to dealer transfer. It should not cost you very much to have the transfer. Some dealers will eat the cost for the sale. Good luck.

Well recent checks show that he has no super duties on his lot. What I am looking for is an F250 or 350 4x4 CC 8', gas, 6-speed, XL with decor and plus package, preferably black but definitely not white. I know the 6-speed alone is pretty rare to see on a lot. I dont know, the rebates arent quite as good as I hoped right now so I might have to go used. Even with the XL and manual tranny and gas motor I am still pushing my budget. Auto and anything over an XL is automatically out of my price range.

I believe the beginning of May is the cutoff for '09.

Yup, they are certainly still building 09s. Be patient and order one, you'll get it just how you want it. My 09 3/4 ton was ordered 8 days ago.

If you want a manual transmission, forget about finding anything on the lots. I had to order mine.
Seems like the Fast Turn Order sheets indicate that 100% of the trucks are automatic be they XL, XLT, FX4, etc.

Anyone know if they are still taking orders now? I just got permission by 'the boss'. Thursday I swung by the closest dealer and a kid said he didnt think I could still order one and shook my hand and said sorry. I asked if he was sure I couldnt and all he came back with was he thinks. Guess he was to busy to actually check with someone IDK. Whatever. I called another dealer friday evening apparently that dealer already closed cause I got him at home. He said he thought I could still but will check for sure monday. Just curious if anyone actually knows???

First hand info for you guys. I ordered an 09 6 days ago. The window is still open for now. May be limited availability on some options/packages. I have a F 250 XL Crew Cab SWB on order, solid black bumper to bumper, med stone interior with H/back bucket seats. Power eqpt group, XL plus pkg, ITBC and here is the kicker, 6.8L/4.10 rear with a 5 sp auto torqueshift. I spec'd it for towing my TT. 6-8 weeks for delivery

I love it!
I just got back from a ~600 mile road trip and measured a combined average of 14.2mpg, mostly highway but some city in there as well. And to the Crew Cab... talk about taking 3 people and all their gear in comfort. It was awesome. This puts my '09 odometer at 5,000 miles in about eight weeks of ownership. So far, so good.

I gave my dealer my specs on May 11, he placed the order on May 14, I got my VIN number today. It is being built and they report I should get it the last week of June. Looking forward to putting that first 500 miles on it and then hooking up my TT and cruising with it. Pics when it comes!
