Im in the process of figuring out my Power loss issue, but in the meantime I will also be adding 4.10 gears front and rear, finding some King Ranch seats, deleting my muffler and getting a DP tuner.
The one thing I am not 100% sure on is which Air Suspension to go with.
I have riden in a truck with the Firestone and it was very smoothe, but I want to see what yalls opinion is. I have looked at the Ride Rite and the Air Lift, are these the ones to go with? Or are there others out there that arent as advertised that perform better?
Airbags shouldn't affect the ride, unless you are using them as suspension. If you're not loaded, run them with no air in them. When you load up, throw some air in to help out. That's how their designed to work... not like the air ride suspension you see on some cars.
I've got the Firestone bags on and wouldn't tow without them! They don't help at all when empty because you're just riding on the leaf springs anyway, but when loaded down it makes a big improvement! It's a lot smoother and the truck just looks better because it's sitting level.
When I'm empty I run 8-10psi in them. I air them up depending on the load and how much the rear end is sagging, so it can be as much as 60psi.
