I have the Chrome package on my Crew Lariat and the Front tow hooks (that are chrome) are starting to show some rust in the rear of the hooks. Any recommendations to get rid of this.
If you are still under warranty, I would go to the dealer, they will cost more than you want to spend to replace.
If you aren't, get a wire brush tool, preferably a dremel with the wire attachment, and spend 2 minutes cleaning up the rusted spot, then put on a clear rustoleum coat to seal it from rusting again. Not sure how it will look on chrome, but on my black tow hooks, it looks amazing.if you put it on in a smooth motion, it will work great, but I had rough looking black tow hooks, so as long as they are shiny, they look the same.
