Don't know them off the top of my head. I went to my local dealer parts dept and said I wanted the front chrome tow hooks and they figured it out. Shortly after there was a thread on here about some other manf making the same shape front chrome tow hooks but they were supposta have a more rugged chrome finish. If you have not purchased them from from yet those may be worth a look. Search around here some for front chrome tow hook.
My buddy is trying to get his new hooks installed does anyone have the procedure documented or should we just go for it. looks as though we will need to drop the front bumper???? His truck is 2001 250 4x4 v-10 any ideas........... Thanks
I changed mine in about 30 minutes. You don't need to drop the front bumper. I also made a bracket with the same hole pattern to move the tow hooks forward to use as a step to work in the engine compartment.
Do yourself a favor and stay away form the Ford ones, they rust in the gaps in approx 6 months or so. We take stock black ones, strip them and then have the triple chrome plated. They look much better and the copper, nickel chrome finish is much tougher and resistant to chipping and rust etc. They are approx the same price as the Ford ones too, depending on where you buy them anyway!! Call us and we'll be glad to help you with some.
My Ford one's started to rust in less than a month in Minnesota this past winter. I got them for $67, since I get a discount, but I would've rather paid a bit more.
I installed the chrome hooks from DPPI last night. They look great and installation was a snap. The bumper did not come off.
On my '05 Excursion, I removed the blocker-beam with an impact wrench, then I could remove the bolts easily.
The removal of the beam may not have been needed, but my Excursion needed the longer bolts, and with a universal joint and the socket..I could not get the angle to feed the bolts through the holes. With the beam removed, I could hand-feed them through the holes.
