Oops plans for the weekend got changed, we missed the entry deadline. We will be there next weekend tho for the entire weekend. Next weekend is a South East Divisional (Division is one step below national) championship points event on Sat and Sunday. We run at a neat place called ACU4 at Little Creek Naval Air station in Norfolk. (Yes, the home of NCIS, but their headquarters don't look anything like in the TV show, and I've yet to see Abbie, but I keep looking! 
) ACU4 is the headquarters for the
East Coast's fleet of giant amphibious air cushion landing craft. Each one can hold about 3 battle tanks or a lot of troops. The area we race on is the ramp where they launch out onto the bay. A huge smooth clean concrete pad that goes down to the water at one end. We have been walking course and watched pods of dolphins swim by.
You can come watch if you'd like, there is no charge, but I'd need to give you a link where you need to register in advance for clearance to enter the base.
