Unless your taking the front clip off first I think you'll need to pull the engine, then the trans.
if the radiator is still in you'll need to pull it,for sure if it has a shroud.
take a hacksaw or similar to cut the radiator hoses (saves time)
dont forget a jackstand to support trans when pulling engine.
and safety,
If your taking a cherry picker and the ground is soft or muddy take a large sheet of plywood or something to roll on??
seems like the bolt size for the bottom of front engine mounts is quite large?
I am limited on larger wrenches an sockets etc so I had issues with my last one.
I think the weight of the 4-sp would make pulling them together a real chore. It's real easy to remove the bellhousing bolts if the seat is out and the trans cover is off. Be sure to get the starter plate with it!
take a jack , jack stands and some help and take that 4 gear off as they weigh a ton !!!!!!!!! might as someone said make it interesting when pulling it . my t-89 weigh either 145 or 170 , can't remember ........ getting senile ya know .
Thanks for the replys, the gentleman I am buying from has a wrecker we will use to pull it. Hadn't realized the 4 speed weighed so much. Good tips on the jack stands, hadn't thought of that.
The weather is against me today so I may not get it till tomorrow. Will post pics if I get it.
