Would a choice in rear components need to be made before cutting the frame...I just thought that it might make a difference if you had different length springs...it may not, I don't know...Also, did you interior painting yourself? If you so, is that a base coat clear coat or some kind of single stage, that was just something I noticed in your gallery that made me think ahead a little.
Not necessarily. I cut my frame with the original F-3 rear end and springs still in place and the cutting does not affect the original springs or hangers. If you use different length rear springs like I did you will have to fabricate 'L' brackets to mount them to the side of the frame rails. After the 8 inches of frame has been removed line up the rearmost running board bracket holes with the rearmost holes in the F-1 running boards before you final weld so you won't have to elongate or drill new holes in the running boards. My interior is a rattle can paint job I did myself.
Alright, thanks, I wanted to have some knowledge before finding someone around here to do the dirty work...I wanted to at least sound like I know what I am talking about when I ask somone about the job.
Bob, I can't get that link to you to work.I have got some pics, just need to know how to start a gallery.Maybe the settings on my computer.I also checked the user cp and did not see where to enable private messages. Any help greatly appreciated..
