yesterday I reinstalled the bed on my f1. It has no floor yet. I wanted to have the bed in place in order to check the fit of some rear shock mounts I'm building. the bed has been off the truck for several When months.
Wen the bed was being bolted down I noticed that the back of the cab was pressing against the top front of the bed (the bottom has about 1/2" of clearance between bed and cab) It doesn't look good. everything seems to be installed properly.
Any one got an idea what made the bed and cab fit together so badly since I last had the the bed on?
If its an F1, then I assume you're talking about an old truck. Have you done any modifications to the frame or drivetrain? Any upgrades you may have made could have stiffened the frame up.
Also, our 1941 had stock wood mounts attached to the frame at various heights that the bed sat on.
thanks Carlene
I solved the problem today. When I was trying to phase (align) the transmission and drive shaft the transmission was jacked to high. It pushed against the floor and raised the front of the cab. I fixed that problem but now the driveshaft has to be done over..
