Lucas, the prince of darkness! I've owned quite a few British motorcycles.
I did too. Lucas electric was also used in British sports cars. My brother was very into them in the 60s and 70s, owned MGs, Austin-Healeys, XKE v12. One thing in common, Lucas electric failed often.
I don’t see why we’d need to buy smoke, I can create my own easily, I just need to figure out how to bottle it.

Lucas: "The Prince of *DARKNESS*" that title is appropriate for them is so many ways....The leave you in the dark...lots of dark color when things burn...Dark moods prevail when their stuff failed... etc
Some folks, like Abe or Joe, may not be able to use that kind. It doesn't say its for negative or positive ground, but why take the chance?
They need this.
Thanks, Ken. I never thought of the positive or negative ground thing for smoke replacement.... Or positive or negative "earth" as the Brits call it.
