Question Help to identify Bronco wiring Harness

Hi all ,

My wiring harness is shot and has been repaired in the most retarded way possible with the ****tiest wires possible

I have been looking for a replacement harness , but it is proving difficult.

However I have found this , but the seller is unsure if it could fit my 86 EFI Bronco 5.0 .

Can somebody help out and tell me if this is the right wire ? Thank you

How sure are you that the engine/transmission is original? There must have been some issue where the previous owner thought that changing the wiring harness would fix something else. Fordparts.com has schematics for Bronco's back to 1990.

The truck is not in the US , therefore nothing was changed , just modified. All Original, but the wires have been messed about because there were some added mods. All i want to know is that that harness would fit or the one from the 88 f150? Thanks

There was a blue band containing the part number on my old harness which was peeling off but had not been lost yet. It was located on the harness near the driver's side fuse box.

I had the dealership look for a harness with the same number and they found one new old stock at some dealership somewhere in the nation.

My guess is that you have looked for the part number band on your old harness and it is long gone, so you may want to contact the parts person at a large dealership with your vin # to look up the harness for you?

OP's '86 Bronco is too old, so its VIN cannot be used to research part numbers, as that feature didn't occur until the 1990's.

The OP will either have to look at the harness for the blue band with the ID engineering number printed on it, or verify which wiring harness is needed.

Ok, good to know what's going on. You have a Bronco, I think we all can agree on that. It's a 1986 5.0L EFI, it's not in the US. A google image search has turned up some information. All the pictures in this post are indicating an Ebay auction (buy it now).
So I'm not sure where we are going with this thread. If you have access to the Bronco, go out and find the tag with the number on it. If you don't have access to the Bronco. hmmm. I think that's a dead end?
