I did too. Lucas electric was also used in British sports cars. My brother was very into them in the 60s and 70s, owned MGs, Austin-Healeys, XKE v12. One thing in common, Lucas electric failed often.

I don’t see why we’d need to buy smoke, I can create my own easily, I just need to figure out how to bottle it.

That bottle label looks old. It must be NOS.

Does the bottle come with instructions on how to replace the smoke into your wiring? It might be worth a shot.

Yup, finding the smoke isn't too hard... ...but the special tool to push it back into the harness is like trying to find a needle in a haystack

Some folks, like Abe or Joe, may not be able to use that kind. It doesn't say its for negative or positive ground, but why take the chance?

They need this.

The NOS Lucas smoke replacement kit I'm familiar with comes with a device to install the smoke back into the wire.

Thanks, Ken. I never thought of the positive or negative ground thing for smoke replacement.... Or positive or negative "earth" as the Brits call it.
