71 rad #

hi does anyone know the part # for the 302 rad. my local ford dealers can't look anything up. they threw out the old microfish. i ordered one from a place but the brackets are welded on the wrong side and i don't want to mount it with 5" bolts. just hope i can get my money back from them.
thanks all

If the brackets are wrong they sold you a 4x4 rad. Take it back and ask them to recheck the listing. The parts stores around here still list a couple different rads for these trucks. Tank thickness and number of tube rows are the differences. If you still can't find the correct part a good rad shop can switch the brackets from the old one to the new one.

the one he sold me mounts on the engine side, other than that it's perfect.lol
i could try with 5"bolts but not an ideal solution.

I don't know the reasoning behind it but Ford bracketed the rads in 4x4 trucks differently than 2wd trucks. The rad supports in 4x4's have extra brackets welded on to make it all work. I used a 4x4 rad support in my 67 F100 2wd and had to cut those off to use a stock rad.

Dunno how much good the Ford part number will help you, because the radiator is obsolete.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

DOTZ9002G .. 302 Radiator / 26 1/4" wide / 19 3/4" high / 2" core / Use with or without A/C / Fits: 1969/72 F100.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is no such thing as a factory 1969/79 F100 or 1975/79 F150 with a 302 and 4WD.

The only Ford product prior to 1980 that had a 302 with 4WD was the 1968/77 Bronco.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~
1967/72 F100/350: There were two different radiator supports used. The engine size makes no difference.
The only difference is in the radiator's opening radius.
C7TZ16138A .. Radiator Support
Fits: 1967/72 F100/250 2WD ~ Use without Super Cooling radiator.
C7TZ16138B .. Radiator Support
Fits: 1967/72 F100/250 2WD ~ Use with Super Cooling radiator / 1967/72 F100/250 4WD / 1967/72 F350.
The Super Cooling radiator was not available with the 302 engine.
