Which one is the rear bed hole??

I'm finishing up on TCI's rear leaf spring kit and I'm changing out the shock cross-member as well. In TCI's instruction, #8, they say to draw a line 29 1/4" from the rear bed bolt hole. I dont have a manual and its been so long since I took the bed off and I'm having trouble figuring out which one is the right hole. PLEASE HELP.

You should put the shocks on and the cross member and set it that way I used the instructions and the bar didn't fit as good as it should have.

No idea what year you are working on, but I would interpret the rear bed hole as the one on the top of the frame, a couple inches from the end of the rail. That's where Bonus Builts' rear bolts are.

Sorry about not being able to post the picture in the thread but I'm not that good.

If you take a look at the link it should show the rear frame rail. Is that many holes standard?

Hi Mark!, I just came in from looking at my frame...Yea, that last hole appears to be the rear bed crossmember mount hole alright..judging by the Picin your link and what my frame looks like. Short-bed right? 110" wheel-base?

Just for grins I measured from the 'center' of that hole ..to the 'center' rivit of the'original' rear shock crossmember.. I came up with 28 1/4"..is that what you have?

Thanks for the reply, and yes I do believe its the 110" short bed. I dont remember what the exact measurement was but it would have been close to the original hole but not exact. Just wanted to make sure that the far hole was the one to be measured from. Thanks for the replys.

No problem...what 'are ' those extra holes? You might have termites He He..

Again ,just for grins, here are a couple of more measurements

From the center of that that same 'rear' hole...measure fwd 19 1/2"..thats where your 3rd crossmember goes,

Measure( from center of rear hole) 49 3/4"..thats the second cossmember,

(Again from the center of rear hole) Fwd 72 3/8"..on the side of the frame will be an " L " bracket for the fwd most Bed mount( one on each side -thru the wood)
I know it can get tricky with all those holes everywhere and fresh paint covering everything up...good looking project! Keep after it! Good Luck!
