when i did mine i capped the intake port off with a half inch pvc plug. it fit in there perfect, nice and tight. then i took a hose clamp and put on it also.
No, they only feed it to the intake for emissions. The International version of this engine just has a pipe running down the back of the block to vent the crankcase.

And I was going to do that but I got a great price on this kit and wanted to give it a try. I cleared it with the dealer first and was told because it was a BD kit it wouldnt void any part of my remaining engine warranty or my ESP. I dont think they would have voided it if I did it the other way. I was looking for a kit to do it professionally...thats all. And I like the fact that it has a filter and a catch can so no oily film on the truck anywhere.
I know that most of you dont get any oil out anyway, just tryin to do my part for the enviroment.
I have the same issue, I had to remove my coolant filter for now. I have ben having some turbo issues so to help rectafy them I decided that the CCV had to take priority for now. I tried to mount in in front of the condensor but there isnt much room up there. I was thinking either on the frame somewhere or in the ront bumper.
I have about 4k on the coolant filters and have ben through 4 of them. I will cut it open tomarrow and see whats in there. That will tell me the priority of trying to rig it up.
Sarge
Sarge, did you ever get your coolant filter re-installed? I'm going to mount my BD CCV today but need to relocate my coolant filter first. Thanks
I got my coolant filter relocated to the frame rail below the drivers side door, right next to my Oil guard. I then dove into the BD CCV kit. Overall the kit was not difficult to install, just time consuming. I have one issue however. The black hose (straight one) that attaches to the crack case elbow is being kinked a little bit by the intake tube which sit's above it. There is really no play in the intake tube, if I lift up on it with some force the kink goes away. Sarge did you run into this issue? I may contact BD and see what they have to say.
No I havent re-instlled the coolant filter yet. I am trying to find a good place still. It will take a beating up here wwith all the salt on the roads for the winter.
I didnt have that issue you did Rob. Could you post a picture of the kink and I will take a look at mine.
I'll get you a picture next Friday when I get back home. I know what you mean about the salt, makes me want to cry everytime I look under my truck (rust)! My oil filtration canister is looking rough after just one winter.
I'm not driving the truck at all this week. I'll post some pic's when I get back home. Probally have too take the intake back apart and see what I can do.
