1977 F250 Fuel Tank selector valve
Having issue with getting fuel from front tank as of yesterday. Rear tank not a problem getting fuel at moment. With both tanks I cannot get fuel gauge to register how much fuel is in either. Before issue with front tank the gauge was showing how much fuel was in it. Did not start diagnosing yet and reading some of other posts I guess it could be selector switch on dash, sending unit or the valve. I went to clean off valve below driver side door and tried looking up where I could get replacement if I needed to. See attached picture. this unit looks nothing like I see on LMC or BroncoGraveyard websites. If I need to replace can someone suggest where to get?
thanks.
thanks.

You will probably have to get an aftermarket one: Electric Fuel Tank Selector Valve, 66-77 Ford Bronco, New - Toms Bronco Parts

PartsVoice.com is where I found D8TZ-9189-A / Only Perogie had one. Now they say they don't.
Also looked on the Ford Dealer Parts Locator System = ZERO
Bottom Line: No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any D5TZ-9189-A or D5TZ-9189-B or D8TZ-9189-A / ALL three are obsolete.
The thing is...do you need the valve or the switch? You say dash gauge not working, the 1975/79 switch (D5TZ-9A050-A) changes the tanks and the fuel gauge.
1973/74 F100/350's used a manually controlled selector valve, located on floor next to drivers side of the seat. The 1973/74 switch (D3TZ-9A050-A) only changes the fuel gauge from one tank to the other.

You can use a regular universal one. I did it on mine years ago, and still works fine. Found this google pic.. I added a small indicator light on the dash so when I switch tanks, I know the valve has power going to it.

Manual Fuel Tank Selector 73 F250
Does anyone know where to find a manual (used or new) fuel tank selector valve for the 73 F250? Or, whether or not the universal could be fitted to this truck? The universal to which I refer is BWD FSV1 - Fuel Tank Selector Valve | O'Reilly Auto Parts Thanks, Tate

I can't recognize the valve in your picture. But if it has a single wire going to it you can test if it's getting a signal. In one of the positions, there should be constant power to the switch. If you have a test light, just ground it to the frame and touch it off to the wire. If your getting the signal change then it is the valve. The aftermarket version should work. No signal in either position means the problem is in the switch or wiring.
