It's part of the glass frame, welded on like a stud. The parts CD doesn't show it as a separate piece, either.

The only spring, nut and etc I can find (and I found lots of them) is for 1953/56.

I do not know if this is the same parts as 1949/52.

This is considered a body part, and the catalog that covers 1944/52 body parts is very hard to find.

Carpenter doesn't have these parts listed in his catalog.

There is a spring, some type of washer or clip and the nut. The nut I can use a stainless nut but need the spring and washer/clip.

There's nothing magic about the spring, other than it's pretty stiff, and it can't be over a certain diameter and still get thru the window frame into the door. Do you have the other one? True Value here has a good selection of springs that could be cut down. The washer is so the end of the spring doesn't hang up on the frame. A nylock nut would be best. I have a decent picture if you need it.

Well, you'll need more than just a spring and a nut. The upper washer that goes on the shaft but inside the "loop" under the frame is tear drop shaped and has a square hole in it. That's what prevents you from opening the window two far. Then in progression downward, there is a slip (thin and wide) washer, the spring, another slip wahers, then a regular cut washer and a castleated locking nut.

I'm not sure what the kits include, but in the drawings of the various vent windows the pieces and th enumber of pieces are different. I'll do a little more research and get back to you. Mine are currently out of the truck so I can get some good photo's for you as well.

Here's the complete assembly. The thick spacer has a square hole in it, it turns with the window. The pointed pece is the travel stop, also has a square hole. There is a thin brass washer between the spring and the frame, that needs greasing.
