Last week I picked up a 1990 F150 2WD. Regular cab, longbox. 300 six with a 5 speed. It runs awesome, has a TON of power (0-60 in about 12 seconds). Its an XLT Lariat with crank windows and manual door locks but it does have AC, Tilt, and crusie.
I'm not keeping it, I am going to swap a lot of parts off it for my other 2 trucks though.
For example this stuff is goin on the '91-
Grill
RH headlight assy.
Radiator (has the big one)
Fan Shroud (mine never had one, gets hot at low speeds)
XLT door panels
Front Bumper (mine is twisted, this one is straight)
Rear Bumper (this 90 as a VERY nice Luverne rear bumper)
I'm also thinking of taking the AC out and putting in '91
And this stuff is getting switched on the F250-
Both mirrors
Front seat
Just thought I'd give you guys an update of what is going on. I will get a few pics sometime.
Also, I verbally bought a '92 F150 4X4 reg cab longbox for $650. It has some rust, but not much worse than my '91. Its a 302 auto but for the price I don't think I can go wrong.
thats pretty good my buddy just found one of the older bigger blazers with a 4 inch lift for 400 with only 19xxx on it the things brand new still i was pissed i didnt find it but its been sittin for 10 years its a diamond for sure
Wow, that's a sweet deal.
I really don't need all these vehicles but I hate passing up a good deal. Well, at least I can make my money back on this '90, even after I switch all of those parts.
I don't know what I will do with that 92. Depends how well I like the 302, otherwise I may clean it up and resell it.
