I am looking at a 97 F-250 short box crew cab XLT 4x2 PSD auto as for parts for our 95 F-350 longbox crew cab 4x4 XL 460 5 speed. I basically want this truck for the aftermarket homeade front & rear bumpers, the (possibly) windshield, seats (if they aren't torn up), & wheels. What else will interchange from the 97 to '95. The 97 needs tie rods, camber bushings & possibly a tranny. Plus it has almost 400k on the ticker. The body's not in the best shape either. (bed is toast & it has some dents elsewhere. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I would say alot other then mechanical parts would interchange. Don't plan on the windshield 9 times out of 10 the windshield ends up breaking ask me how I know. The bumpers should be a perfect swap i belive. Seats will and wheels for sure will they kept the same bolt pattern and all till 99 I belive. Anything interior should swap right around. But like I said I don't think any mechanical parts would work except possibly the rear end other then that I can't think of anything. I have swapped many parts with many diffrent trucks I have had 2 parts trucks a 89 F150 2wd 302 and every part swaped for my 88 F150 and our 89 F250 and a few for our 89 F350. Also had a 84 F250 which most parts will be changing into the 89 F350. Most ford parts are interchanble from 80-96or 97 for some.

I'd say everything that's not Diesel related should be a direct fit, wiring harness, computer box, tanks, etc won't.
Add transmission to this list, the bellousing only bolts to diesel engines, gas are different.. 460 is by it's self,,,, (300) 4.9L , (302) 5.0L, (351) 5.8L all interchange..

i believe they make a big block 351 also like a 351 cleveland or something dont they
idk thats what some guy told me when i was looking at a 88 f250 he said it had a 351 big block i told him no its a small block then he said i was right after he looked and said a that you coulda got a 351 big block. although ever once in a while i see a f150 forsale that says it has a 351 cleveland but who knows if there right or not i guess
Pretty much everything except the rear axle, cosmetic, interior and electrical stuff. Transmission could possibly swap depending on which transmissions the vehicles have.
