I took my 2003 Ford F-350 to the dealer because it started leaking a lot of oil, I was told I needed to replace the IPC Sensor and wire harness and it wouldn't be cheap. Does this sound familiar to anybody.
Thats really not all that bad. Like I said before its pretty easy to do if you are even somewhat mechanically inclined. If you choose to go through the top of the motor which is what I would do. You should clean the turbo while you've got it out.
Even if you take it to another mechanic though hes going to charge you book value for the sensor ($150) then probably 2-3 hours of labor so your still looking at 3-500.
Good luck. If you need any help don't hesitate to ask.

When I had my ICP sensor replaced it was .7 of an hour shop time. 2003 truck. I would think you could remove the transmission and put it back up in 3 hours.
