Valley pan gromet.

Any one know where I can get the turbo drain gromit? The only way i have found to get one is to buy a vally pan. I had a whole valley pan got the gromit out today to put in my 6.9 then when it came time to install the turbo i couldn't find the gromet any where i called around and no luck and our partsless department can't even find a listing. I hade something that might work outo of a cdr seal and some silicone but who knows how long that will last.

I'm not sure if anyone here can help you, but I know that the guys in oilburners have the part number and sourced for JUST the valley pan grommit.

ATS would have a grommet part # on their web page for your specific turbo.

i had the same problem when i was reinstalling my turbo... i ended up gettin a grommet from a non turbo the one thats attached to the cdr ....well i ended up cuttin the top of that down to id say about an inch or maybe a lil smaller and then using my dremel tool to cut a bit inside of it ...slid on the drain tube clamped it ...and has been that way since with no issues... Just to point out in my case i still had the old grommet that came with the truck but for some reason it would no longer seal and was just pooring out oil...

The grommets can be purchased from ATS, but they only come in a kit which includes all orings and grommets to install the turbo. The cost for the kit is $60. I just got one to install the turbo on my 85.

The turbo pedistal grommet has a smaller hole than the CDR grommet does.

So ATS would be the only place since Ford has obsoleted most of the IDI turbo parts.

I just realized that if you aren't registered on oilburners than the link I posted will not be visible:

Heres the post in it that matters:

Here's the pics of the factory (093) ATS turbo system VP grommet.
This is one of three brand new ones I got about a week ago.
Give this place a call,
Body Armor Performance Specialists
Their number is 866-408-6812 or 360-604-8555.

I know it sounds weird, but they'll hook you up. Heck, might as well order ya a tac jacket at the same time! Never know when you may need one of those.
Tell them Sean from Highland Automotive Specialties in Nebraska told you to give them a ring, they may remember me, maybe not.

If you regsister, you can see the original thread with attachements as well.
Probably cheaper than going to ATS.
