Dimmer Switch Gromet
Bought the Mid Fifties carpet kit for my 56, no hole or grommet for the foot operated dimmer switch, none not listed in their catalogue either, anyone know where to get one of these? I'm sure if I don't do something with it the hole will only get ugly.

Take a piece of small black rubber hose and make an appropriate sized O-ring with it. Then slit the outside circumference and pop it into place over the carpet. Glue if necessary. I have also used this technique with copper tubing on the edges of sheet metal and soldered into place.
