ipr replacement not going well...

changed my ipr this morning went pretty smooth, but the truck is idling ruff now the directions says that if it does this its not tight enuff... i got the breaker bar this last time and torqued it good, but still ruff idle im taking a beer break and going back at it

Hmm, that stinks.

Well after your beer, before you tear it out again, make sure the tin nut is tight, too.

Do not overtighten your IPR! You will regret it!

I suspect the reason its running rough is because you lost a fair amount of oil when you removed your old IPR. When that happens it allows air back into the system. Just go drive your truck, it should clear up in about 25 miles of driving.

drive that thing..when you pull the ipr..your letting air into the rails..air= ruff idle

EDIT never mind superdoodie edited his post while i posted..

you guys were right!! the ol mule is tip top once again... ipr change is done and done...
