Ok so now that it has been getting pretty cold out my truck has been idling ruff while cold and has no power generally until ECT EOT are about 100 and up. FICM volts read good, batteries tested good, no bubbles on bubble test. Runnin delo 5w-40 which my truck seems to like better than T6.
Get contribution codes on 2 and 8 and when really cold 4. Starts up fine cold and warm. What should I check for? It runs great when warmed up.
On another note sometimes after an hour of driving my IPR sits around 26% and my ICP jumps around from 620 to 680. Driving down to next red light its back to 22-23 on IPR and around 640 ICP. Noticed its a ruff idle when IPR is high.
Ideal IPR at Idol is 24 your still in range operating values are 0 to 50
take the value test in park warm temp, no HVAC on
koeo ( key on engine off)
low ( Idle)
high (2500 rpm )
As I'm posting this i know I forgot my koeo values but here are my idle and 2500 rpm values.
Idle
Around 640 Icp
22-23 IPR
ICP volts 1.1
2500 rpm
Around 1400 ICP
40% IPR
ICP volts 2.2
Not sure it the equation on volts is correct. When I first plugged it in it was showing my volts over 100 volts and I redid it a little. I'll get koeo tomorrow. Question I have at the moment is can stiction cause a contribution code? I have read it can in some places and others it doesn't. It's a pending code never got got a hard code for it. Also if if stiction does cause a pending code I was thinking of pulling the injectors and clean the valve. If I do that would it be a good idea to replace the seals with a seal pack from alliant? I think it would. I would hate to get it back togather and start making oil from a seal gone bad and have to go back in.
FICM flash makes a huge difference in cold starts too. Ed did mine back at the end of last year and my CB codes went away, but I also had no inductive heat flash.

You know i got to think about my flash and I can't pull it up now for some reason on my scanner(torque app) but before on my last phone I could. It was one of the flashes listed on powe hungry performance web site. Might be good to go ahead and send it in. My FICM volts hang out above 47 but I notice it likes to fluctuate.

Your FICM could be perfectly fine and need still need a different flash for the starting cycle to be improved, especially at low temps.
