Headers for 74 F-250 4x4

Does anyone know were i can get a GOOD pair of headers for my 74 F-250 4x4 with a 428. I'm not talking about those cheesy two peace headmen one's that go around the motor-mount tower. Any info will help thanks

really, between the two, it depends on if you want chassis or fenderwell. my hp front end has already destroyed my stock exhaust. i was afraid to buy headers and have them become a victim too. if your running a hp front end, you should probably go with the dougs, if your running a stock frontend, the mad dogs should be good. check on that pinion though.

Im running a low pinoin and i have about 10 inches of suspention lift so i shouldn't have a clearance problem. I didn't see the right application for my truck on the mad dog web site.

Here is a picture of the rear. The way i typed it was wrong it is 6 inchs on top of the FHB but i took out the rear 4 1/2 inch highboy block and put 10 inch springs under there. I shoud have it done in about a week after i get the front 6 inch springs in this weekend. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...777475&thumb=1

I have more pictures in my album take a look.

I was looking at your gallery, and not in your profile album.
Nice truck. Man thats a ton of spring out back. Are you using the stock hanger location? How rough is that going to ride?
Which spring did you use for the front?
Whatcha doing for steering?

I have been messing with these things for some time, and have spent much time with the suspension and steering. I dont use off the shelf components, and have had to build most of the things, but the results are decent. I am big time into ride quality as well as off road performance. I get my truck into pretty nasty mud and run some trails that are not suited for such large vehicles, but my combo works well.
Heres my junk: (one of them anyway)

Thats a nice truck im not going to say it looks like my friends old truck cuz it pisses me off when people say that about mine and have no idiah about how much work i put into it ( not to mention customized things ), but it reminds me of his 76 same shade of color and stance. very nice. I am using some custom 6 inch springs from a company in Canada, and i have done a conversion with the 78 79 steering box. I will use a drop pitman arm and make my own drop drag link for now if need be.

Here is a picture of my own conversion.I'm sure you know what it looks like but for all of the newbies this is a conversion using a 78-79 F-250 4x4 power steering box.
