has anyone ever stuffed a set of rockwells under their 87-96 truck? if so could you share some pictures? the reason i ask is i have a set of rockwells sitting out back that are currently under an army truck that is our parts truck for our other two army trucks and i was contemplating swapping them in when my ttb blows up they don't look like they would be that much harder than a dana 60 to swap they both use leaf springs, or i could 4-link it
anyone know what gear ratios rockwells in army trucks with 44in tires came with?
thanks that's good to know and that's a good ratio too
anyone know where i could get parts such as lockers and disc brakes?
i just got a shower and i was thinking in the shower maybe it would be better to just shorten the frame on the parts truck so it's a 4x4 not a 6x6 since the rear axle is missing the pumpkin anyway and then build a bad *** 460 with kasse p-51 heads and a solid roller cam for it weld up some motor mounts get a c6 and an np205 twin stick then toss some boggers 44in boggers on it.
but where would i get some rims for those axles? i doubt interco makes a bogger that's 44in tall and fits on a 20?in rim that's only like 9in wide or so
also the truck has a pto driven winch, is it possible to find a transfer case with a pto output to drive the winch?
and thinking about it i'm just dreaming because i don't have $10,000 to build this truck but maybe if i fall into some money i will
i'll try to post some pics tomorrow if the chickens will let me lol one of them has made a nest in the drivers seat
