Help 285/75/18
I'm new here and have been searching for some answers. Have not really found a definite yes or no. I have stock 275/65/18 tires on my 2005 FX4. I don't want to mess with a leveling kit after reading some problems it may cause with front end components, but I want some bigger tires. Is anyone running 285/75/18 tires without a leveling kit? Or are those too big? Don't mind trimming plastic, but don't want any rubbing on metal. I do not off-road so major suspension swings would not be a real issue. Belle Tire says "Let's try it" and Discount Tire will only install 275/70/18 or 285/65/18. Those are not really much bigger than I have.

I have 285/65R18's from an F250, they don't rub, the odometer is accurate, and they look bigger but not huge. I'll try to snap a pic and post it. Installer inflated to 80 psi tho, that was sure fun!
