I heard some guys say they added it when the tank got to 1/4. but could I add it after I fill up? I wouldn't think it matterd but I thought I would ask. Thanks for the replies.
You can add it after the tank is full , but it will take longer to mix. I just add it before I fill up. This way the force of the fuel coming in gives it a good mix right off the bat. So I am not at the mercy of bumps in the road to mix the additive. It is more crucial in the cold months to keep your fuel from gelling up.
Brandon, I get my additive at either Wal-Mart or O'Reilly's. You can find Powerservice at any auto-parts store and most truck-stops and fuel stations. You want to buy the White bottle with red lid for the colder months because it has anti-gelling additive in it. The silver bottle with black lid is for the warmer months. It is same thing it just doesn't have the anti-gel additive and runs a little cheaper.
Pretty good info here! I hope you're taking the info to heart. Add the PowerService just before you stick the nozzle in the tank. That way your fuel gets mixed well.
