81 Interior Trim Colors
Sorry, I missed it before. Getting old. LOL.

BODY CODE: AT4
A = Light Truck Custom Bench - Vinyl seat.
T = Interior Color = Nutmeg.
4 = Styleside pickup.
The Exterior colors are missing from this lable. (Which is unusual). However I notice that it was a Special Order, this might explain why. There should be two sets of numbers after the exterior pain code marking. Which there isn't.
The rest of the lable decodes as.
WB = Wheel Base = 117"
Type/GVW = F100 = 4700 max GVW
Trans Code B = Clark four speed overdrive.
Axle 14 = 3.00 ratio ford Rear end. Non-limited slip. Capacity #3750
Vin Number Decode:
1FTCF10D3BUA62833
1FT = Ford USA
C = GVWR Class = 4,001 to 5,000 Lbs.
F10 = F-100 Regular Cab Pickup 4x2
D = 255 V8 Engine. 4.2L Gas
3 = Check Digit
B = Year Model = 1981
U = Plant of manufacture = Louiseville
A62833 = Production sequence number.
Hope this helps.

I can only Guess at the exterior color because of it being absent on the lable above, and the fact that digital Photography can change the tint of the picture, as well as my literature is only an aproximation of the true colors.
But the exterior colors are my best guess.

On the inside dooor tag shown above I guess all those numbers to the far right are the DSO code? If that is so what are the T H for on the lower bottom line right under where it has DSO?
Again thanks for the information.
This truck looked like it had about 300K miles on it when I bought it back in about 88 or 89. The engine that was in it not the original shattered a piston so I put another 302 in it and has got another 100K on it now and this is just a work truck..lol.
I have not done much to it but drive it but since I am off now I am trying to catch up on some of the things that have been negelected. I have a 81 sales pamplet and my truck looks like the green and white ranger with the 5 slot aluminum rims. I guess a custom could be ordered with different trim packages if someone wanted that.
I have the 1981 light truck service manual, and specifications. I used the brochure that has paint chips in it, and looked up their name in the book to get the codes. The problem is the factors of error. The tint in the manual, the tint of my monitor, the tint of the digital photo, even my eyes, can contribute to the error factor.

I know it was special ordered, because the DSO code would only be two digits if it wasn't. Again no way to decode it.
Ford may have info on it still, if you called them and asked for a build sheet. Do a search about getting a build sheet.
Hope this helps.
