bearings

Hi guys Im doin a top end on a 289 cam heads etc checked bearings to be safe showing signs of wear on one main and several rods .should i replace with stock size bearings or .0001 ? thanks Mick

Doing the top end....or the bottom end...or both?

Regardless, if we are talking crankshaft? Run the test with the plastic-gauge stuff....give it a shot with the stock sized bearings. Unless something 'spun' or the crank has been machined before? Stock should be within range. (if not? Time to talk with a machine shop/engine rebuild shop...might need to have the crank machined and bearings matched)

thanks for the replies crank looks good found half of a cam bearing in the oil pan tho looks like its going to machine shop
