Im looking at buying this truck for a project.
Im a 78 -79 man but I took to this truck.
I dont think theres alot of F-350's around are there?
Ive never paid much attention to them.
What kind of front end would be in this truck?
The box is in pretty good shape and theres a couple of newer fenders.
Floor on the drivers side is rotten but the rest of the inside isnt bad.
Im not sure of what to offer the owner for it?
Any ballpark figures out there?
Just guessing here but I'm thinking it's a 71 or 72. Assuming it's a V8, I'd go 5-600 bucks on it with a good title ( I'm a cheapskate). Looks like plenty of work there to keep ya busy but being a 350 makes it cool in my book. There are alot of variables we don't know or can't see in the pics.
How shure are you that it is a F350 Some sellers tend to BS
Im not sure it is, Im only going by his word.
Hes got a good rep and knows his old trucks .
He didnt know I was intrested in buying it so he had no reason to bs me.
I was there looking for 79 parts.
Whats the best way to check to see if its a 350?
check the VIN plate..350 should start with F35.......250 with F25...... From what I can see of the grill in the one picture I'd say it's a 71, not sure how common older single rear wheel F350's are. It may well be a 250, VIN plate will tell all. If nothing else, I wouldn't mind a nice set of 350 hood badges if you find them lying about ( I see they are no lomger on the hood). Mine are starting to blister. Good luck.
does it run/drive? those 2 things really bring a price up. but down here it would be worth 800 even not running, even more if parted out. but if running it would be in the 2000 range, if the rust isnt bad. but everything costs more around here, i am always blown away at how little some people pay for their trucks.
My 350 is a dually dump truck. Yea, a 2wd F350 with singles in the back may not be too rare but a 4wd F350 with singles is something I haven't seen in this era. Later years it was more common I guess but 67-72...maybe less common.
That seems to have a later steering system on it. If you're looking for a project it seems to be a good starting point since it's in decent shape aside from that cab mount.
