Does anyone know what the snorkel in the intake is? What happens when it is removed?

 

It the tube that goes from the air box or the air inlet that connects to the fenderwall of the truck. If you just remove the tube that goes to the fender wall it is suppose to give you 7 more Hp. If you go to the web site of Power Hungry Performance, they have a article on it.
