You did the same thing that I want to do to my truck. I have an '06 XLT SC that I think would look good blacked out. So far I have HD headlights and taillights. I want to get the Roush Nitemare grille, but I have chrome bumpers. I looked into getting some black FX4 bumpers from the salvage yard, but they wanted like $250 apiece. Other things I want: black Ford emblems, black N-Fab step bars, tint my windows and black Dick Cepek DC-1s.
The grille is a chrome Roush grille that's been painted black with Krylon Fusion, black satin..
Stanger, Your best bet for getting black bumpers would be to have your chrome bumpers powdercoated.. call around, but you should be able to get both done for about $300.. it will also be a lot more durable than painted bumpers
The truck is stunning. One of the nicest "black-outs" I have ever seen. Can you please tell me what make & model of side steps you put on the truck? They look great!
