Pyrometer Sensor Location

I am having my gauges installed and one of them is a pyrometer. My installers read the instructions and in those instruction it said that the sensor could be mounted before OR after the turbo. I did a search on here and it seems that the recommended location for that sensor is before the turbo. i dont do alot of heavy towing but do have the DP tuner with some aggressive tunes. Let me know what you guys recommend.

Drivers side up-pipe, just above where it mounts to the manifold.

Pre-turbo for sure! Many guys (me included drill and tap the manifold). Just use grease on the drill bit and tap. Just make sure your hole is oriented downward and 99% of the shavings will fall to the ground.

Another vote for driver's side manifold. Drill, tap, install, drink a beer, done.

What is the best way to go about sealing up a hole for the sensor that was mounted post turbo? Is the only option to weld the hole up?

And another vote for the drivers side manifold, just like CSIPSD's pic.

That's probably your best bet, but I don't know. Maybe you could plug it.
