I'm a Dad

We had a girl on the 12th. When born she was 20 inches long and 9 pounds 9 ounces.

Here is a pic of grandma (my mom) holding here.

Everything is going well. I will be "retiring" from engineering in a few weeks for stay home to raise her, my wife is also an engineer (mechanical) and her benefits are better so she is going to continue to work. I am going to contiue to be a Musician on the weekends and will do some mechanic work and engineering work on the side when I get time but without 2 full time incomes my car building hobby will definatly slow down a lot.

Congratulations!!!!

That is very cool.

you're not kidding, truck time will definately decrease for the next million years or so. You still have a little bit of time, maybe 6 months but no longer. So, quick dig out all your catalogs and order every little piece you've ever been dreaming of. I know, I know, you won't have any time at all to ever install them but at least you will have bought them before the never ending demand for trivial little things like diapers, clothes, blankets, food etc suck your checkbook completely dry.

Again, congrats, and I'm glad mom and baby are doing great
Bobby

For the past 1/2 a year I have been spending like crazy.....buying all the stuff that I think I will need for the next couple of years........my garage is packed with STUFF.

It will take me a long time but I have a lot of the stuff for my 1930 model a.. I am going to build it for her first car.

I also have just about everything to finish my 48 f-1 when I get time.

The good thing is that we don't have any debt except for the little bit we owe on the house (and we actually have the amount to pay it off in bank but don't want to empty the bank account incase something major comes up). Cash is going to be a little tight but we agreed that the money I make from playing in my band can go for my "toys".

Congratulations. It is a wonderful thing to take care of little ones like this and watch them grow. Mine are all grown up. I have three grand children with one on the way. So I can get to hold another litte one. Take good care of that little sweet heart.

Congratulations. Now all you have to do is raise your children well. Then they will have your grand kids. Then you can spoil the devil out of them. The good part is after you spoil them, you send them home. I know you are two proud parents, enjoy your children while you can, they will be grown before you realize it. I am now the proud grandfather of 5, things could not possibly be any better.

Congrats, Man. Glad to hear everybodys good.
I'm sure youve already heard it, but it bears repeating. Your life will never be the same!

I just became a grampa 5 months or so ago. He's 5 states away, I've seen him 3 or 4 times already but I gotta have more. They're only like that once!...slim
