He had me check to see if the fuel pump runs when I turn on the key. I tried twice & don't notice anything under the truck. Only sound i hear is what sounds like a vacuum pump on the passengers side fender area.
If your sure you have the bolt tight on the pcm connector I would try a CPS also they pick the darndest times to die.The fuel pump is at the drivers feet on the inside of the frame rail when you turn the key slide under there and see if you hear it.
Yes, I checked it again.. it is tight. The biggest thing that baffles me is when I brought the truck home, it ran great.. No signs of any problems. So whatever happened, I'm guessing is related to what i did. I'm not blaming it on the tuner, just something that happened in my clean-up, install or somewhere along the line. The static is making me wonder as my house is dry, since I heat with a wood stove.
Turn the key on and lay your hand on the fuel pump and see if it's running. I bought my truck in Ok towed my F250 home no problems the next day it started cutting out driving down the road .Yep you guessed it was the CPS.
Turn the key on and lay your hand on the fuel pump and see if it's running.
I'm not 100% I am even looking at the right thing.. Inside the frame rails, right under the drivers seat basically? In the fuel line, 2 inch round, about 8 inches long.. red & black wire I think?? I 'm guessing that's it but in a newbie here. I turned the key & jumped under.. if that's it..there is nothing.. no sound.. no vibration.. Does it run every time? Just making me wonder if all the times I have been trying to start it.. does pressure build up & the pump doesn't always run??
You can open the drain valve on the fuel filter housing and turn the key to the on position. a steady stream of diesel should come out. Be sure to put a bucket under the truck to catch the fuel.
The PCM , when you checked fuses did you pull them out and look at them or did you check for continuity . Sound's like you not getting power to your PCM I'm sure this has been asked did you look at the pins in the PCM connector and make sure they were all straight ? I know this is frustrating but don't give up some one will hit on a fix.
