The PCM will not cause none of the lights to come on. More then likely it's like was just said, a fuse. Are you making sure the PCM connector on the firewall is in all the way? I have seen where some have not had that connection in all the way, and had some problems.

Ok, I am at wits end here.. I took out the PC, tried cleaning the contacts again, re-installed & still nothing. I have the battery charger on, even though the batteries show 12+ volts with a meter. The headlights work, the chime works with the key, the interior lights work, turn signals. No lights on the instrument cluster come on when I turn the key, & the radio does not work. I have looked over all the fuses, even pulling out the smaller ones to check & can't find anything. I called Jody, his answering machine said he is in Washington live tuning until tuesday & I also sent an e-mail to him as well as ITP diesel who I bought it thru... I'm running out of ideas....

Look at fuse #19 under the dash. It is a 10a fuse that does the cluster and PCM. See if this works. Click here

Look on page 172 and 173

Ok, i'll go double check them again.. Diane answered my e-mail & I responded back.. maybe she or you guys can answer some of my questions. In the No Start mode.. does it do the things I have occurring when you turn the key? No dash lights, or radio? If so, is it possible the PCM was stuck in no start mode even after I took the chip out or does it automatically revert back to stock once its unplugged? I'm just wondering if this is PCM/Tuner related now or is this something else like fuse/relay ??

The pcm should go back to stock when you take the chip off. To me it seems like a fuse problem. I have yet to put my chip in the no start mode, so I can't help with that question.

Checked all the fuses, still no luck.. I've had this thing in & out enough times I can do it in my sleep.. Anyone know, would a fried PCM cause problems i'm having? everything dead with the key other than the chime, no radio either?

Gregg, sorry, I am out of ideas. I think Jody needs to get with you and figure this out. Wish I had more help for you.

Thanks Rick. I'm beginning to think something is wrong with the PCM or maybe something else. I got it to crank & the dash lights work again, but with or without the DP Tuner, it won't start. It cranks, builds up oil pressure, but the tach doesn't move & it won't fire.. no smoke from the tailpipe either.

I'm about to give up for the day, I can't figure this out & it will be dark outside soon. Thanks again everyone for the help, I spoke to Jim (megawatt) on the phone earlier & he gave me some new ideas to try. I thought i was getting somewhere when I got it to fire....

Kinda sucks, I've been excited waiting for the Tuner to get here for over a week & now that its here, this is ruining the excitement..lol

Yes, I checked the connectors & pins & I have no security system, just a remote starter. I spoke to dennis @ ITP diesel & he suggested i borrow a PCS & swap it without the tuner & see if the truck starts... He is also thinking it may be a CPS since it cranks & the tach doesn't move.

Possible static electricity when you cleaned the IC Board?
S.E. could takeout the PCM.

I have no idea what happened at this point. I read where you don't use anything metal, so I only used my fingernail & a scothbrite scrubby.. Now its gonna be trial & error seeing what I can do to get it to start. Unfortunately I am out my vehicle & have to go to work today.

The CPS could have gone bad. My tack does move when I crank on it.
