Its similar to our principal, but less nuts, he will let fights finish themselves out, but just keep others from joing in.

 

Some may say not so, BUT ITS NOT THE TEACHERS JOB TO STOP FIGHTS. Its the cops job to arrest the ones that break the law and assault others. My wife teaches and WILL NOT TRY TO STOP A FIGHT other than telling them to stop. Its not her job. A teacher at the same school "tried" to stop a fight and was injured. If a fight kills someone ITS STILL NOT THE TEACHERS JOB TO DO ANYTHING BUT WATCH AND TELL THEM TO STOP AND RUN AWAY TO PROTECT HERSELF IF NEED BE.

 

Once upon a time you were supposed to let fights finish themselves out (as long as they were fighting with some kind of moral code). The only thing teachers are supposed to do is keep other students from joining in and forming a mob fight. I've gotten in a few fights at my school, and because we were able to finish it out, I became really good buddies with them.
