I have a 2004 4x4 6.0 excursion with the v & b code springs and billsteins shocks on it. What do I tell the front end shop to use for specs to alighn the excursion ? some one said the same as a 250 super duty.
You have solid axles. Why would it be any different?? The springs do not affect the alignment. Well...you gotta move the track bar a bit but...
You should use the specs for an F-250 rather than an Excursion but not because of the springs but because they F250 specs are better for eliminating wander and steering vagueness.
On the Hunter unit my garage uses, the specs are the same for the F250 and Ex... you're right Monsta, they are the same essentail front end, spring not considered.
Get yourself a set of caster/camber shims and get the shop to set the caster as positive as it will go without taking the camber out of spec. The range for camber on these things is HUGE. They actually consider 1.5 degrees to be an acceptable caster (albeit at the lower end). It will feel like you are driving a shopping cart with those kinds of numbers
Trying to determine inventory levels of a particular shop is next to impossible using this forum. You could call around prior to taking your truck there though. Most of the time if they don't have them they probably have a parts store they deal with that they can get parts from quickly.
