Alright so I am sure i already know the answer to this question and I'm sure it's a stupid question but since i have 36in tsl's on my truck, and say if i want to go dyno it, i should put say 30's on there right? Smaller tire so it'll spin faster so i'll have more power? and how much difference in power with the big and small tires
Not sure how much the chassis dyno will know? Do they compute tire size when doing the test? The major advantage will be gear ratio with the smaller tire, unless you re-geared the truck.
The dyno just determines HP by the speed change in the drum. You get truck into high gear, hit button and stomp pedal. Run up to your redline and it will compute the speed difference and how long it took to get there. That big tire will just be added weight the motor has to get spinning. The lighter the tire, the more HP it's going to show on the dyno.
It's in our DNA. We lie about HP, the one that got away, how big our wee-wees are and that our truck is the fastest in town LOL Would i lie to you?? LOL
