I just got back from the dyno and thought ya'll might like to know the results. My truck is a 2002 F250 SD V-10 w/3.73 gears w 285/75/16 tires. I've added Diablo chip, Airaid cold air filter/w zoodad mod? (hole in the front grill), and flowmaster 70 muffler.
With the chip off I pulled 235.7 hp @ 4000 rpm - 4600 rpm & 308.6 tq @ 3200 rpm - 4000 rpm
With the chip on I pulled 247.7 hp @ 4000 rpm with a peak at 4400 rpm & 335.1 tq @ 3200 rpm - 4000 rpm
Overall with the chip I gained 12Hp & 26.5 TQ. I did not dyno stock so I don't have that to compare it with. The torque is lower than I would have guessed, but that could be due to the open airfilter system. I saw this with a car I once had and dyno'ed. With an open filter the torque was lower than stock.
The chip improved the Hp & TQ at all rpm's. From 4000-4300 rpm's it was the same as stock and from 4400 Rpm's it jumped way above stock(like I ever drive at that rpm much)
The owner of the dyno said these #'s are just a hair low due to the taller tires. The dyno is a little off with tires above 30 inches truck or car. The only other FORD V-10 he had Dyno'ed was in a van, it only pulled 180 HP. I've also dyno'ed my SS here and the #'s were almost as expected in relation to 1/4 times, so the #'s for this truck are pretty true.
I plan on adding headers in the near future along with a new TB & TB spacer. I'll dyno it at that time along with the chip being set up for it. We'll see what I end up with then as I'm sure that will be enough YEA RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The dyno doesn't pick up till 2600rpm but at 2600rpm the hp climbs from 170 to 247 to then peaks @ 4000 rpm range. The torque is already above 300 ft lbs at 2600rpm and just peaks out at 3200rpm and doesn't fall below 300 ft lbs untill 4000 rpm.
