04 F150 Possible Starter/Ignition Problem

I have a 2004 4.6L V8, and when I turn my key to the "on" position, it will start the motor, without me even turning the key like you would normally start a car. I just bought this truck last week, and I did not notice this at the time, because I just turned the key all the way, like I would normally start a vehicle. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this on their trucks?

This truck only has 30k miles, so I'm hoping its' nothing too serious.

It's hard to say what's causing the problem. I would suspect something in the ignition switch circuit. The switch has moving parts, so maybe that's the culprit.
