Search screwed up?

How come it doesnt matter what I search for, I get the same results. 17 pages, and none of them having to do with what I searched for. Connecting rod torque specs and bed plate specs is what I need.

Keep the terms as closely realted and specific to what you want to know such that it will not drag in information from other threads not related to the subject. Example. I am having a problem with the compass on my truck where it is stuck in Calibration mode and will not come out. A search for COMPASS CAL pulls up anything mentioning California when they refer to it as Cal. So I dropped the CAL and it paired it down some. I will admit that a Compass only search did pull up threads that never mentioned a compass but did pull up comp and *** referenced in threads.

I tried searching for both the above questions without results. The workshop manuals are not working right now, and that is the only source I know that would have them.

I think you would have better luck contacting a ford tech and seeing if he wouldn't mind looking them up for you.

If you don't mind me asking are you building a beefier motor?

Up dates across the site have been ongoing, so if you have a question just ask if search doesn't work.

Connecting rod cap and the bolts. Tighten the bolts in the following sequence.
Tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).
Tighten to 68 Nm (50 lb-ft).

To prevent engine damage, make sure that the longer main cap bolts (M14 x 2 x 127) are installed inboard and the shorter bolts (M14 x 2 x 114) are installed outboard.

Install the lower crankcase. Install all 20 lower crankcase main bearing mounting bolts. Tighten mounting bolts in the following sequence.
Tighten bolts to 149 Nm (110 lb-ft) in numerical sequence.
Tighten bolts again to 176 Nm (130 lb-ft) in numerical sequence.
Tighten bolts to 231 Nm (170 lb-ft) in the numerical sequence.

I found out that if you use quotations around the search terms, search works much better

Search has been screwed up for a few weeks now. I used to use "+" before each word to find threads containing all those words, now the + does nothing and returns results with any of the words. I've been using quotes lately, but its not as good.
