1986 F-250 6.9 Specs

Well I bought the f-250 and I need to know a few things:

FYI: It is an XLT regular cab with the 6.9 Diesel 4X4.

I would like to know the size of both gas tanks

I would also like to know what axles I have front and rear.

I searched but could not find anything definitive on those two items however I found all the other specs I was looking for.

The gas tanks should be 19 gallons or 16 gallons, or maybe 1 of each.

The axles should be Sterling 10.25 rear, D50 front.

On the Warranty (VIN) Plate is the AXLE code. It can be decoded using the FTE axle decoder, or post the code here. This code will lead directly to the type of axles used on your truck and the ratios.

Fuel tanks: 19 gallon front & rear.
