Here it is I am about to buy my first superduty on limited funds I found a supreem 06 f 250 6.0 4x4 crew cab lb lariat just perfect the guy is up front it has a restored salvage tittle and is only 14k i car faxed this one and it appears that it was a stloen vehicle recovered after ins paid off and in az they can give it a salvage tittle this thing is like show room new. If it was one of you what would you do oh only 39k on the truck
Something seems a little fishy...I highly dought the insurance co. would pay the truck off and then give it back to the guy. They usually sell them. Unless I'm misunderstanding who the guy is you are referring to.
I'm a little perplexed about who is who, also. I'm guessing it was stolen, wrecked, paid off by insurance, fixed, and then sold to someone else? My truck was a Ford buy back which I'm okay with, but I'm not sure how I feel about a salvage title. I guess I would say that if you like it and feel it's a good deal, go for it.
another thing to remember is, with a salvage title that truck does not have any king of factory warranty, and you will not be able to buy an extended warranty for it from ford.
Do an Oasis report on it. Find the original owner and ask about the truck. Also contact the insurance people concerning it. If it was wrecked when it was stolen it was sold, "as is" at auction, after recovery by the insurance company. Whomever purchased it, then rebuilt it, and placed it for sale. Have it looked at by a competent mechanic and body man. Then make your decision.

thanks for the info it was a stolen recovery sold at auction and it is cherry sadly cant buy the warranty how do i do an oasis report would love to contact the owner i did find the selling and servicing dealer they are just down the road. last of all it is also my understanding that the insurance paid out before it was recovered and that is why it was written off as a tottal loss also when it was recoverd there was damage to the bed but that was all trying to figure this all out. I can afford the maint on this truck just don't want to finance a vehicle so i only pay cash and this is what i have to work with and not be broke. thanks for the help
Yeah, if a vehicle is not located in 30 days, it's considered a total loss and if recovered a salvaged title is issued (at least at the insurance companies for which I've worked). It may or may not be damaged, but it's still sold at auction with a salvage title. So, you could be picking up a "steal", or if the people that stole the vehicle drove it like they stole it, it could have a lot of unknown issues. Best to look it over really good, and possibly have a mechanic and/or body shop tech look it over.
