Engine change question

What issues would I have making the swap from 223 to 302 in my 62 F100 ?

Has been done many times, You will need a mounting system, Carolina Classics, Dennis Carpenter and others offer it, along with the engine, tranny and new driveshaft.

Thank you sir for the reply. The 302 would be coming out of a 72 F100, can I use the motor mounts from that truck ?

You might be able to use the mounts after you weld in the conversion.

Your current set up is attached to the front of the engine and the front of the tranny. The new engine is a side mount and will have to have a conversion kit added.

You will also need to come up with a transmission crossmember. Someone will prolly know for sure, but you will prolly have to remove the trans crossmember currently in the truck.
