FWIW, you can get the ITP kit for ~$40 if you provide your own pre-pump filter. That's what I did -- and it's been working VERY well!!
Your in-tank screens look just like my pre-pump filter when I got a batch of bad fuel. That was ironic too -- I think it was the second tank of fuel AFTER I put in the in-tank mods!! Here's the filter I use, and what it looked like after the bad fuel:
