Well me and Cory got the intank mods done last Tue. We got our kits from Diesel Innovations since it was worth 35 bucks not to have to round up the parts and we got a fancy key chain light LOL. Dropping the tank was easy with some ratchet straps and electric impact. Now the skid plate on mine wasn't to fun to wrestle out. Cory's was easy todo with the 4in lift and 35in tires but mine we had to do a slight block lift to be able to get under the truck to make it easier.
IT didn't tank long to get the mods done the hardest part was getting the caps that holds the element back on the tank back on LOL. Cory put his filter element in for his CPR system.
I haven't got all the air out of my system yet so I haven't noticed a difference but the fill up was alot quicker.
We tore appart the intank filters Cory's was clean mine was NASTY.
So we had a pretty good PAA meeting. On top of that I am glad my new IC boots are here because I blew my passenger side one off 3 more times after playing in 11W. I have developed a slight dent in the IC pipe.
That's the same kit that I got, I added a few things to it. I ran my fuel hose like the ITP kit does instead of using the existing hard fuel line like the DI instructions say. So I used some extra fuel hose and a couple of extra clamps with mine.
It all went pretty good, but like JD said, the black rings that hold the assy. to the tank took us more time to get the threads started than it did to drop my tank.
