Hi all. I have a 2005 F350 CC SRW v10 Auto with 30k and I have been getting a TBC fault on my dash message center. I took it to the dealer and they told me the TBCM (trailer brake control module) is bad and I would need to have it replaced.
The part is around $360 and labor makes it near 600 total. They also said the only other problem it could be is the sensor in the master cylinder which is an additional 180 but the TBCM is bad for sure.
Apparently the only way the dealer can verify if the sensor in master cyclinder is working right is after the TBCM is replaced.
This is where I start feeling hosed by my service advisor.
My question is does this and the price sound about right? Also I need the 30k service so should I have the tranny FLUSHED or just have the fluid drained and changed? I welcome the comments and thanks for the help.
