I have a 2007 F-350 King Ranch with factory integrated TBC. Just bought a 5th wheel with Hydraulic brakes and dealership says factory TBC not compatible with Hydraulic brakes so purchased the Prodigy P2 controller with the 3035-P wire harness. There are two plugs on the back of the factory controller and was told to only remove the one on the right and hook it up to the Prodigy P2 and leave the other in the factory controller. I have not yet hooked up my 5th wheel but am getting a TBC error code in my message center on the dash when turning on the truck. Anyone with a solution to this. Really not wanting to have to take to dealer for the big $$$ if I can avoid it. The factory TBC works just fine when hooked up so I am sure that it is not a water in wiring issue as I have just recently pulled my old 5th wheel with all electric brakes with no issue and this issue only came up with new controller. Thanks,
I know that the P2 is totally capable of doing electric over Hydraulic type of brakes, did extensive research into that but I am looking how to get rid of "TBC Fault" code that comes up on the in dash display now that I have it hooked up the way Camping World service guys told me to. Thanks
Just did and they told me that I need to go to the dealership and get computer flashed/reset as this is the only way to clear a fault code of this kind. And yet another $110. Us boys and our toys, we must pay... Thanks
FYI, for others with this issue. Once you have correctly hooked up the Prodigy P2 controller the folks at Cequent Performance Products told me that it does not make a difference whether the left hand plug is left in the factory controller or not and even though you see a TBC Fault message on your dash, that as long as your Prodigy controller is showing the proper codes listed in the instructions, it is working properly You can tow your trailer with the fault message and that it is more of an annoyance than anything. But to clear the TBC Fault message, you will have to take you vehicle to the dealer ship and get the computer flashed. Hope this helps anyone with same issue as mine.

Reason: spelling and wording
Yes I did try it with some heavy duty pucker factor results. DO NOT TRY IT!!! Everyone I have spoken to from Etrailer, Cequent Performance Products support, to biggest Ford dealer in my area says that Hyd trailer brakes are not supported with the integrated Factory TBC.

From my understanding it is from when the year they started with a factory installed TBC to I think 2008 or 2009, they changed them so they now are hyd. compatible.
