What did you do to put it in no start? Unplugging the GP's will only disable the glow plugs, but will still allow the truck to start. Besides, if he's only got one valve cover off, if you want to disable the GP's, it would be easier to unhook the GPR.
I don't mind turning the engine over by hand with the injector removed, but don't like the idea of a full compression stroke with the starter if the injector is not in place. I'd hate to think the injector cup would move. I could be wrong on this, but I prefer to just pull the glow plug to be on the safe side.
I'm pretty sure that he used the no start on his DP Tuner Chris.

When we did JD's, we left both uvhc's unplugged, we changed #8 injector and when we turned it over, it was with the injector in and torqued, but with the glowplug out. It went just fine.

I assumed that when JD said no start, he had used the DP no start. Thanks for the info Cory.

No problem, well he may have had it in no start, he may not have, idk what he had it set on, I do know that when we turned it over the uvhc's were unplugged, so I guess it wouldnt really matter what he had it set on. But all in all it turned out good.
Yes I ment no start on the DP tuner I was kinda hurrying to get into bed last night LOL. We were changing all the GPs and UVCH so it was unplugged as well.
